Dungeon Hack is a role-playing game developed by DreamForge Intertainment and released for the PC in 1993. The game is set in a fantasy world and features dungeon-crawling gameplay, where the player must navigate a series of dungeons and fight against monsters and other hazards.
The game is known for its unique “procedural generation” system, which creates new dungeon layouts every time the player starts a new game, providing a high degree of replayability. This rogue-like approach was a unique feature at the time. Dungeons can be customized for difficulty, such as limiting the number of traps, puzzles, and powerful enemies allowing you to tweak the game to your own skills & wishes.
Contrary to most similar games you control only a single character which can be chosen from a variety of classes, such as warriors, wizards, and thieves. The game’s combat system is turn-based, allowing players to carefully plan their actions and strategize against their enemies.
- The game’s maps are randomly generated making each game unique
- Unusual for games of this type, you only control a single character
